Prambanan Temple

Prambanan temple is the highest and most beautiful Hindu temple complex in Indonesia. This temple is full of love story. Starting from the legend of Bandung Bondowoso struggle to get Roro Jonggrang, to the love story of Rama and Shinta are sculpted in the temple wall.

The rooster crowed when Bondowoso did the 999th statue. When he knew Jonggrang's cheating, he cursed it to become the 1000th statue.

In addition to the famous legend of Roro Jonggrang, Prambanan Temple is recognized as one of UNESCO world heritage has other charm for tourists. This temple consists of three temples Trimurti Hinduism, namely Siwa temple with a companion temple named Nandini, Brahma temple with swan companion temple, and Vishnu Temple with Garuda as a companion temple.   • Sewu Temple

Although located adjacent and has almost the same building style, Sewu Temple has different religious background. If Prambanan Temple is a Hindu Temple then Sewu Temple is a Buddhist Temple. This suggests that in ancient times religious tolerance among religious communities was well-maintained. Originally in this complex there are 249 temple buildings arranged to form mandalawajradhatu, but unfortunately most of the temple has collapsed so that standing upright only a few.   • Plaosan Temple
